Polypropylene

Polypropylene (PP) is another common and highly manufactured plastic. It is known for being durable, robust, and resistant to many factors. It is widely used as reusable food and beverage containers or even single-serving containers.

Polypropylene is highly resistant to many properties and has a high melting point that makes it a great choice for microwavable. It is completely non-volatile, and will not react to liquids, bases, and acids.

Polypropylene Properties

Chemical and Biological Resistance:
Many chemicals don’t react with PP, which means it’s suitable for plastic pallets and containers that handle such chemicals. It also doesn’t deteriorate, or form any biological variables such as mold, fungi and bacteria.

Water Resistance:
PP is highly impermeable and has excellent moisture resistance. It’s often used in many industrial and medical applications

Insulation:
PP plastic is highly resistant to electricity which is why it is the material of choice in electronic components.

High Melting Point:
This material has a high melting point, making it an excellent material for kitchen utensils, food appliances and even laboratory equipment.

Low Cost:
Polypropylene is a very affordable material and is therefore easy to make available to many users.

Recyclable:
Polypropylene plastic is a sustainable material. It is entirely recyclable. Unlike other plastics, it can be used repeatedly, preventing it from ending up in a landfill.
